Which Three Pillars Bring Life to Healthcare?

23 August 2019 | by Hufsa Munawar No Comments

The advancements we see in the technological sector did not just happen in a day – it is a product of hundreds of years of hard work and dedication. Before the 1970s, people did not own cell phones, tablets or laptops (that perhaps, we can’t even imagine a life without today). The healthcare sector was underdeveloped, let alone digitized. Even if the technology was available, people did not have the cash to afford such expensive services.

However, by the time the 1990s arrived – notably the Internet – technology began to have a revolutionary impact. This boom of technology led to it bringing remarkable value in the healthcare industry as well. The profound knowledge of how the technology works and how it can help save cost; has saved the lives of many in desperate times. This is also shaping the way health systems operate and work. The everyday advancements are not only noticeable but also life-changing.

There are three pillars of primary health care: accessibility, affordability, and quality. Healthpass is a medical service that helps people from all across Pakistan, to avail services from different medical centers at discounted prices. The service that they are providing is one of a kind and they plan to revolutionize the healthcare sector in a way that has not yet been done in Pakistan. Healthpass started out small – being a project under a company named Medicount – but now it is in collaboration with medical centers in Faisalabad, Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar and Rawalpindi, and Wah. It plans on continuing to expand and collaborate with many other medical centers as well.
